One Seriously Injured In Fairfield County Car Crash Into Building, Police Say

One person received serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a car crashed into a Fairfield County business.

The crash took place around 2:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27 on Post Road (Route 1) in Fairfield.

The Fairfield Fire Department arrived on the scene and found that a car had slammed into the front of an eyewear business trapping the driver, the department said. 

Firefighters worked to extricate the driver of the car who sustained what is believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the driver said.

The driver was transported to the hospital by AMR for treatment of the injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Fairfield Police Department.
